Alaska Airlines says its story began in 1932, when Linious "Mac" McGee started McGee Airways to fly supplies out of Anchorage, and that the business became Alaska Airlines in 1944. It is part of Alaska Air Group, the parent of Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Horizon Air, and its hub cities include Seattle, Anchorage, Portland and Honolulu.
