FAQ

Rank tracker: questions

What does the rank tracker check?

Your website's position in Google's top 100 for each search you add, once a day, in the country you pick. It records today's position, the change since the last check, your best position so far and which of your pages ranks.

How many searches can I track?

Pro ($9.99/month) tracks 10 searches, Plus 25 and Max 50, across your websites. The free plan doesn't include the rank tracker. The first positions appear as soon as you add them.

What is the niche check?

On Max, the niche check reads your website, works out about 20 searches a customer would type to find a business like yours, and shows your Google position for each, with the sites at the top. On Pro and Plus, Ranking keywords reads your website the same way. Track any of them with one click.

Can I see who ranks above me?

Yes. Open any tracked search to see the sites ranking above you, with links, plus related searches people make that you could track next.

Which countries can I track in?

United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, India, United Arab Emirates, Germany, Pakistan. Pick the country for each search, so a London business sees its UK position and an Austin one its US position.

Is a position of 'not in the top 100' bad?

It means Google doesn't show your site in its first hundred results for that search yet. New pages often start there. Watch the trend: steady climbs mean your work is paying off.

How is this different from Google Search Console?

Search Console shows the searches you already appear for. The rank tracker follows the exact searches you choose, every day, including ones you don't rank for yet, so you can see progress on the searches that matter to your business.
