Free Website Audit Tool
Audit any website in under a minute: a score out of 100, every SEO and technical issue ranked by severity, and how to fix each one.
What we check: HTTPS, pages hidden from Google, robots.txt and the sitemap, titles, meta descriptions, headings, phone-friendliness, image alt text, canonical links, social previews, structured data, page language, server response time and a sample of internal links. We read the public pages only, the way a search engine does, and store nothing but the address you entered.
How to audit a website for free
How do I audit a website for free?
Enter the address in the tool above. It reads the home page and up to four more, tests a sample of links, checks robots.txt and the sitemap, and returns a score out of 100 with each issue ranked high, medium or low and the fix written out. Three audits a day are free with no account.
| Check | Severity if it fails |
|---|---|
| HTTPS and the http to https redirect | High / Medium |
| Pages hidden from Google (noindex) or robots.txt blocking the site | High |
| Missing page titles | High |
| Not set up for phones (no viewport tag) | High |
| Broken internal links | High |
| Duplicate titles, missing meta descriptions, missing H1 | Medium |
| No structured data on the home page | Medium |
| No XML sitemap | Medium |
| Server slower than 3 seconds | Medium |
| Long titles, several H1s, images without alt text | Low |
| No canonical link, no social preview, no page language | Low |
| No robots.txt, very heavy HTML | Low |

Website audit: questions
Is this website audit really free?
Yes. Three audits a day with no account and no credit card, and the report appears on the page. A free LeadQuasar account audits up to ten pages a site, adds Google PageSpeed scores, keeps every report and turns it into a PDF.
How is the score worked out?
Every site starts at 100. Each high-severity issue takes off 12 points, each medium one 6 and each low one 2, with a floor of 0. A site with no HTTPS and no meta descriptions, for example, scores 100 minus 12 minus 6, which is 82.
How many pages does it check?
The home page and up to four more pages linked from it, plus a sample of internal links tested for errors, robots.txt and the sitemap. In the app it checks up to ten pages.
Can I audit a competitor's or a prospect's website?
Yes. The audit reads public pages only, the way a search engine does, so you can run it on any site. Agencies and web designers use it before a sales call: the issues list is the agenda.
Does it measure page speed?
It flags a server that takes more than 3 seconds to answer and HTML over 1.5 MB. Full Google PageSpeed scores (performance, accessibility, best practices and SEO on mobile) take 20 to 40 seconds and are in the free account.
Audit ten pages, send the PDF, write the pitch
A free account keeps every audit, adds Google speed scores and drafts the email that offers the fixes.
