How to Find Logistics Company Leads in India (2026)

5 min read

LeadQuasar lists 394 logistics businesses in India as of September 2026. 367 of them (93%) have a phone number and 218 (55%) have an email address, so you can combine calls and email from the start. The list is new, still growing and concentrated in a few cities: Mumbai has 207 firms, Bangalore 104 and Delhi 45.

What is in the list

Most listings (219) carry the category "freight and cargo service": freight forwarders, logistics companies and cargo agents. Another 70 are listed as transportation businesses, 21 as freight forwarding agencies and 14 as courier and delivery services. A handful are warehouses and storage facilities, and some listings sit at the edge of logistics, so check the category before you pitch.

Each record is a business listing with the company name and category, plus the address, phone, website and email where the listing has them. There are no named contacts or job titles. 345 firms (88%) list a website, which is usually enough to tell a customs-focused forwarder from a road transporter or a warehousing company before you call.

Where the firms are

State Businesses With email With phone
Maharashtra 211 119 197
Karnataka 104 54 98
Delhi NCT 45 33 41
Gujarat 18 6 17
Tamil Nadu 10 5 10
Telangana 6 1 4

By city, Mumbai (207) is more than half the list, then Bangalore (104), Delhi (45), Ahmedabad (18) and Chennai (10), with a few firms in Hyderabad and Pune. Maharashtra alone holds 54% of the firms, almost all of them in Mumbai, the base for many forwarders working the western ports.

Two things follow. A Mumbai campaign can fill a sales calendar on its own. And outside the three states with pages, the numbers are small, so treat Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Telangana as a sample and expect them to grow.

Delhi stands out for email: 33 of its 45 firms have an address, a higher share than Mumbai or Bangalore.

Phone, WhatsApp and email together

Indian logistics runs on the phone and on WhatsApp. Quotes, pickups and delivery updates move through calls and chat groups all day, and most firms will expect a supplier to use them too.

  • Call first where you can. 93% of firms have a number. Ask for the proprietor or director in a small firm, and the operations head or branch manager in a larger one.
  • Email with substance. For the 218 firms with an address, send a short, specific email before or after the call. A clear offer with a price range or a case from the same city gets read.
  • Move to WhatsApp when invited. Once a contact is interested, a WhatsApp thread is often the fastest way to share a brochure, a quote or a demo link.
  • Speak their language. English works for business, but a caller comfortable in Hindi, Marathi or Kannada will often get further with a smaller firm.

Who decides

Many Indian logistics firms are proprietorships, partnerships or closely held private limited companies. In those, the proprietor or managing director decides almost everything. In bigger companies, the operations head chooses tools and vendors for the day-to-day, the finance head controls anything with a credit line, and a branch manager in each city runs local buying.

What Indian logistics firms buy

  • Compliance tools. GST invoicing and e-way bill software, and customs documentation support for forwarders.
  • Fleet and tracking. GPS tracking, fuel cards, tyres and vehicle maintenance for firms that run trucks.
  • Transport and warehouse software. Booking, tracking, proof of delivery and inventory tools.
  • Warehousing. Space near ports and highways, racking and material-handling equipment.
  • Insurance. Transit, marine cargo and warehouse cover.
  • Finance. Working capital and invoice discounting, since firms often pay transporters before their customers pay them.
  • People. Drivers, warehouse staff and customs documentation staff.

Timing matters. The run-up to Diwali and the festive season is the busiest stretch of the year for Indian logistics. Start conversations in the quieter months before it, and avoid the days around monthly GST filing, when back offices are stretched.

A plan for the first month

  1. Browse India logistics leads and filter to Mumbai, Bangalore or Delhi. Search is free.
  2. Sort by type using the website: forwarder, transporter, courier or warehouse.
  3. Call the owner or operations head, then send a short email to firms with an address.
  4. Continue on WhatsApp with those who ask for details.
  5. Track results by city, since Mumbai, Bangalore and Delhi firms buy differently.
