LeadQuasar lists 1,795 travel agencies in 19 states, and every listing has a phone number, a website and a Google rating. None include an email address or a contact name. That makes this a calling list: you reach the agency, and at most agencies the person who picks up is close to the person who decides.
Who sells to travel agencies, and what they want
Travel agencies sit in the middle of the trip. Suppliers need them to sell; they need suppliers and tools to do it. The sellers who get the most out of an agency list tend to be:
- Suppliers and destinations. Cruise lines, tour operators, resorts and tourism boards that want agents to recommend them. The pitch is commission, familiarization trips and easy booking.
- Host agencies and consortia. They recruit independent agents and small agencies with better commission splits and back-office support.
- Technology. Booking engines, CRM for travel, itinerary tools, client portals. The pitch is less time on admin per trip.
- Insurance and compliance. Errors and omissions cover and travel insurance products agents can resell.
- Marketing services. Websites, email newsletters, social content and review management.
Each of those groups wants a different person at the agency, but at a small agency it is often the same person: the owner, who also sells trips.
What each listing gives you
| Field | Coverage |
|---|---|
| Phone number | 1,795 (100%) |
| Website | 100% |
| Google rating | 1,795 rated, average 3.39 |
| Email address | 0 |
| Contact name | 0 |
The website does two jobs. It tells you what the agency specializes in (cruises, destination weddings, corporate travel, group tours, a particular region), and it often names the owner or the agents. Read it before every call. An agency that sells river cruises to retirees and one that books corporate flights have nothing in common except the word "travel".
Read the ratings carefully
The average Google rating across the list is 3.39. Don't read that as a list of bad agencies. Travel reviews collect complaints about things an agency doesn't control: a delayed flight, a hotel room, a cancelled tour. The rating still helps you choose an angle.
- Agencies below the average may be losing customers to reviews. Pitch service tools, client communication, travel insurance or review management.
- Agencies above the average have loyal clients and a reputation to protect. Pitch growth: new suppliers, new destinations, more leads.
Whatever you do, don't lead with their rating. Use it to decide which problem to name.
Where the agencies are
| State | Agencies |
|---|---|
| California | 302 |
| Texas | 297 |
| New York | 101 |
| Illinois | 91 |
| Michigan | 66 |
| Arizona | 64 |
| Pennsylvania | 60 |
| Indiana | 56 |
| Florida | 51 |
| Ohio | 49 |
Tennessee (38) and North Carolina (37) complete the 12 largest, and seven more states have a handful between them. The list is metro-focused. Chicago has 84 agencies, almost all of Illinois. New York City has 82, San Francisco 71, Los Angeles 68, and Houston and San Diego 62 each. Philadelphia (51), Phoenix (50) and Jacksonville (49) follow.
This is a small list. It is not every travel agency in these states, and it will hold few home-based independent agents, who often have no public business listing. Treat it as a focused set of established agencies in large cities.
How to call an agency
Travel agents spend their day on the phone with clients, so timing matters.
- Call mid-week, mid-morning. Mondays fill with weekend inquiries, and late afternoons with bookings.
- Ask for the owner or manager by role. If you reach an agent, ask who decides on your kind of product.
- Name their specialty. "I saw you do a lot of Alaska cruises" earns more attention than a general pitch.
- Offer something useful for their clients. Agents care about what makes a trip go well and what pays commission.
- Get an email on the call. Since the list has none, ask where to send details, and follow up the same day. Follow CAN-SPAM when you do.
Watch the calendar too. The run-up to peak booking periods is busy. The quieter weeks after a season are a better time to get an owner to consider a new supplier or tool.

Frequently asked questions
How many travel agencies does LeadQuasar list?
There are 1,795 travel agencies in 19 states. California (302) and Texas (297) have the most, followed by New York (101) and Illinois (91).
Do the travel agency listings include emails?
No. None of the 1,795 listings include an email address or a contact name. Every one has a phone number and a website, so call first and ask for an email during the conversation.
Why is the average rating only 3.39?
Travel reviews often reflect things outside an agency's control, like flight delays or hotel issues. The average across all 1,795 rated agencies is 3.39. Use a listing's rating to choose your pitch, not to judge the agency.
Does this include home-based travel agents?
Probably only a few. These are business listings with a public phone and website, concentrated in large cities such as Chicago (84), New York (82) and San Francisco (71).
